When Mark married Mary, it was an ordinary but not so ordinary day. The sun came up, morning alarms went off, people went to work, some hit the snooze button and others gathered at the grooms parents farm house to celebrate the joining of two wonderful people.
We had the recent pleasure of visiting the splendid grandeur that is Old Montreal. Maria and Russell had their stunning venue at Le Place D'arms Hotel which is located next to the historic Notre-Dame Basilica. We love the old world charm this location presents and the majestic architecture that seems to envelope you while being there. We hope you enjoy some of the moments we captured of this great couple!
Anna & Sergio sure know how to pick some epic locations for a wedding! Starting with the old world charm of One King West to TIFF's favourite party spot Storys, everyone had an amazing time soaking up the love and good vibes. We hope you enjoy....
Cristina and Danny had the perfect day for their engagement shoot in Toronto's historic Distillery District.
It turned out to be 12 degrees in the middle of February!
We love the architecture of the old buildings and cobblestone roads and were able to capture some really great shots of the pair. We even found a lost dog along the way!
We can't wait to shoot their wedding in October.Take a peak at the shots below
Taryn & Greg
When we first met Taryn & Greg, we immediately knew that a lot of love, care and personalization was being put into their special day. From the smallest of rustic details, to the disco ball dance floor built by the brother of the bride, each part of the day was planned with love.
We headed to Royal Maples Estate for the ceremony and reception. Taryns brother was the officiant and her brother played ukulele as she walked down the aisle, making for a beautiful and intimate ceremony .
The reception was then held in a tent, backlit by a soft sunset and beautifully lit trees while Coriander Girl supplied the bridal bouquets and boutonnieres. Speeches were made, and dinner was served from a food truck!
Taryn and Greg had their first dance on the handmade outdoor dance floor as family and friends blew bubbles. Some seriously fun dancing then ensued making for an amazing night.
Kait & Chris had a beautiful afternoon wedding in Toronto's historic Mclean House located at the Estates of Sunnybrook. Filled with autumn colours and children's laughter, it was an intimate day spent with close family and friends. We hope you enjoy some of the moments we captured.
Amy and Jason met in law school hundred of kilometres away only to find that they both lived in the same area of each other. It is such that we shot at Alexander Muir Gardens, a beautiful place uptown where both grew up. Looking forward to shooting their wedding at the magical Casa Loma.
As we pulled up to the grooms house, for a moment we weren’t sure whether it was the right place as it looked as though a Road Hockey tournament was happening. Turns out, the groom and his groomsmen are big hockey fans and wanted to start the day off with a few games.
Emily, on the other hand, started the day getting ready at the pairs house in Waterdown. Mimosas were served, matching robes were worn and the bridal party shed tears and smiles as Emily came out in her dress.
We then headed to St. Thomas the Apostle Church for the ceremony. The ring bearers and flower girl stole the show as they were wheeled down the aisle in a wagon. Beautiful readings were then presented and the couple tied the knot.
The reception was held at the beautiful Burlington Golf Club which provided the perfect backdrop for the couples photos. As it was Thanksgiving weekend, the meal for the evening was Thanksgiving themed (including pumpkin tarts) and really leant to the day.
Please enjoy these snapshots of their day
Dave & Alicia are something special - Laid back, genuine and both baseball lovers. From a bat wedding registry, to a catcher/pitcher wedding cake, the details spoke of the couples story.
The groom started the morning at the Holiday Inn Hotel in Hamilton. Baseball hats were worn and personalized shaving kits were handed out to all the groomsmen. The bride got ready at her parents house in Dundas Ontario where laughs and champagne were spilled.
The ceremony and reception were held at the beautiful Cherry Avenue Farms in Lincoln Ontario. While the weather may not have been warm and sunny, the ambiance of the day more than made up for it. Amazing food and speeches were shared within the beautifully decorate tent, and some epic dancing and chin-ups in the barn made the night.
Enjoy these moments from their day.
It's not often that we have the privilege to film a good family friends wedding. It brings a new level of excitement and meaning to the day as we not only know and care for the couple, but are also surrounded by family and friends.
Mallory & Colin were exactly this. Having known Mallory my whole life, I could not have been more excited to share in the occasion. It's also not often that you meet a couple quite like these two. Their love for each other is evident with each look and glance and is a raw and contagious joy.
Mallory is also by far one of the kindest, caring and genuine people you could ever meet. She and her sister, Jade, are the founders of the Dance Ability Movement - a program that creates an equal opportunity and inclusive space for all children to fall in love with dance. Together they have changed lives and raised awareness about individuals with special needs.
Their wedding day started at The Manor in Kettleby where the girls got ready. The boys later joined and a beautiful ceremony was held outside by the pond. Every aspect of the day had a personal touch. All of the vendors were friends and family, and the ceremony was officiated by Colin's grandpa. This made the day so much more intimate and true to the couple. The reception then followed and was filled with heartfelt speeches, dance performances from some of Mallory's first students and an amazing flashmob dance.
We hope you enjoy these moments from their special day :)
We had the pleasure of capturing V&V's big day this past weekend. They are one of the most genuine couples we have ever worked with and it was a beautiful and love filled day.
The bride started the morning at the Sheraton Hotel in Hamilton in the Prime Ministers suite where Oprah once stayed!
The ceremony was held at the stunning Cathedral Basilica of Christ the King where the beauty of the architecture echoed the beauty of the day.
The reception was held at Liuna station in Hamilton. We must say it's one of our favourite venues as the old train station style and lighting is phenomenal.
One of the most unique parts of the day had to be a fun family tradition wherein all of the wedding guests banged on pots and pans on the dance floor.
We hope you enjoy these moments from their day :)
Nancy and Chris
Two of the sweetest people we have ever met and definitely meant for each other.
We started the day at the brides house for the getting ready portion accompanied by family and family abroad via FaceTime! The morning was calm, relaxed and full of personal and intimate moments.
After Red pocket money was exchanged, we were off to Kleinburg for the ceremony at the Doctors House. It was a beautiful reflection of the couple and the setting leant perfectly to the feel. Pictures were taken at the McMichael gallery and the bride and groom zoomed off in style in their Ferrari Spyder!
The reception was held at Hazelton Manor and was a fun fusion of Chinese and Portuguese traditions.
We hope you enjoy these moments from their day :)
With her parents house in Orillia as the backdrop, Elisa and Stefan tied the knot in a beautiful and intimate setting.
I first met Jenny and Brandon when I photographed their engagement shoot at Mentor College. They are high school sweethearts and today was their big day! After shooting the ceremony at Saint Josephs Church in Streetsville, we met up at Kariya Park where we enjoyed the natural scenery and snapped some pics of the bridal party. The reception was held at the Sheraton Toronto Airport Hotel and Conference Center and showcased their love of travel and dance! Tango anyone?
